1. The short version
AI Detector works without an account. We never ask for your name, email address, or phone number. To check a text we need the text itself, and we keep it so your history works. We do not sell your data and we do not use your text to train detection models.
2. Who we are
MobileCraft is the provider of the AI Detector app and this website, and is the controller of the data described here. You can reach us at support@mobilecraft.io.
3. What we collect
- The text you submit. The content you paste or the text extracted from a document you attach, so we can analyse it and show you a result.
- The result. The score, verdict, word count, and the time of the check, so your history and reports stay available.
- A file name, when you attach a document. We keep the name only. We do not store the file itself.
- An anonymous device identifier. A random value generated on your device that ties your checks to your app installation. It is not linked to your identity and we cannot use it to contact you.
- Basic technical and crash data. Request timestamps, app version, and error diagnostics needed to keep the Service secure and working. Firebase Crashlytics records crash stack traces, device and operating-system details, and installation identifiers so we can find and fix app crashes. We do not add your account identifier or submitted content to crash reports.
- App usage data. Google Analytics for Firebase records app activity and an app-instance identifier. Our custom events record when onboarding finishes, a check is submitted and its outcome, an upgrade offer is shown, and a purchase succeeds. They include only the input type, a broad outcome category, or the offer placement. We do not send your text, URL, document name, result score, or device account identifier in these events.
We do not request contact details, contacts, or precise location. We do not use advertising identifiers for our analytics.
4. Why we process it, and for how long
We process your text to produce the result you asked for, to show your check history, to enforce fair-use limits, and to detect abuse. Our legal basis is the performance of our agreement with you, and our legitimate interest in keeping the Service secure. We use app usage data to understand whether checks and subscriptions work and to improve the app.
Checks stay available until you delete them. Deleting a check from your history removes its text and result from our systems. Technical logs are kept for a short period and then discarded. Firebase retains Crashlytics crash reports and associated identifiers for 90 days before removal begins. Uninstalling the app stops all further processing.
5. Who else sees it
To analyse text we use a third-party AI evaluation provider acting as our processor. It receives the text for the purpose of returning a score, under contractual terms that prohibit using it for its own purposes. We also use infrastructure and hosting providers to run the Service.
Payments are handled by the Apple App Store and Google Play. We never receive your card details. Google provides our app analytics and crash reporting through Firebase. We do not sell or share your data with advertisers or data brokers.
6. Where it is processed
Your data may be processed in countries outside the one you live in. Where that involves a transfer out of the EEA or the UK, it is covered by appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask us to access, correct, export, or delete your data, or object to how we process it. You can delete most of it yourself by removing checks from your history or uninstalling the app. For anything else, email support@mobilecraft.io.
Because accounts are anonymous, we may need the device identifier from the app's settings screen to locate your data. If we cannot verify that the data belongs to you, we may not be able to act on the request.
8. Children
The Service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has submitted data to us, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Security
Data is encrypted in transit, access to production systems is restricted, and we keep only what the Service needs. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above and, for significant changes, tell you in the app before the change takes effect.
